The DIVERY - Invicta Divers' SCUBA Diving Club
DIVERY Membership Grades
Our DIVERY Membership grades mimic the lifecycle of the Salmon:
DIVERY ROES
(for under 8s)
Roes are constantly attended by their Kelts - they are kept in shelter near the surface and tended with lots of air.
Our Roes are swimmers and snorkellers joining in the fun with their families.
DIVERY ALEVINS
(for 8s - 9s)
Alevins are still pretty dependent on the provision that their Kelts have made for them and explore the shallow sheltered nursery waters together.
Our Alevins are not yet old enough to gain their first SCUBA Diving qualification, but they can build up their swimming confidence, learn to snorkel, and experience SCUBA Diving in depths of up to 2 metres in the safety of a pool, learning to do just the same as their Kelts and older siblings that they seek to emulate and want to join in with.
DIVERY FRYS
Juniors - (for 10s -11s)
Frys are fully formed miniature versions of the adults. Still learning about their environment, they are self sufficient underwater and stay in groups for safety and fun.
Our Frys are able to gain lifelong SCUBA Diving Qualifications and skills, starting as PADI Junior Open Water Divers, and qualified to dive down to 12 metres with their Kelts and with PADI Professionals (Divemasters and Instructors).
DIVERY PARRS
Juniors - (for 12s - 14s)
Parrs grow rapidly and develop to take on their juvenile appearance, bigger and distinct from Frys. They are becoming more and more active in their homeland waters, growing stronger and more capable.
Our Parrs can increase their skills and qualifications up to Junior Advanced Open Water Divers - qualified to dive down to 21 metres with their Kelts, Jacks and Jennies, and with PADI Professionals (Divemasters and Instructors) - and can go on to broaden their qualifications as Specialty Divers and to qualify as Junior Rescue Divers.
DIVERY SMOLTS
Seniors (for 15s -17s)
Smolts are changing from their juvenile form and increasingly taking on adult appearance. They swim longer distances in smaller groups and follow urges and developing instincts to explore further afield. They are meeting with other smolts and looking for adventure. They know that change is coming and they know they want something different - but they are not yet sure quite what. They just need a little guidance to steer them in the right direction.
Our Smolts are qualifed to dive down to 18 metres as PADI Open Water Divers, or 30 metres as PADI Advanced Open Water Divers, and can even qualify as Deep Specialty Divers and explore down to 40 metres with a qualified buddy or PADI Professional.
DIVERY JACKS and DIVERY JENNIES
Seniors (for 18s and over)
Jacks and Jennies are fully fledged and able to swim away independently and explore the deeper oceans and seas across the world. Who knows what experiences and sights they will see. Well, we encourage them to share their experiences with everyone else in the DIVERY !!
Our Jacks and Jennies enjoy their qualifications and exercise their privileges locally in freshwater and sea dives, and internationally on holidays to exciting and to relaxing diving destinations. On their travels, they will meet other Jacks and Jennies but we know that, in time, their instinct is to return to their nursery waters.
DIVERY KELTS
Seniors (with families)
Kelts are adult Seniors with their own waterbabes. Instinctively, they return to the haunting grounds they frequented when they were young, and seek to create new offspring and nurture them in their safe nursery waters right up to maturity.
Our Kelts are family members who want to offer their their offspring the opportunity to be able to explore the 70% of the Earth's surface which is covered by water, and to appreciate just how beautiful but how delicate it really is. They want to protect the underwater environment and ensure that is is still there for their offspring, and their offsprings' offspring, for generations to come.
