Become a PADI Professional
So, you are a PADI Rescue Diver
(or equivalent from another agency such as BSAC, SAA or SSI)
.
Maybe you are also a PADI Master SCUBA Diver (MSD) - demonstrating your achievement of the highest rating in recreational SCUBA Diving. Perhaps you've gone beyond that to extend your number of PADI Specialties beyond the minimum of five required for the MSD.
You've amassed an impressive logbook of dives, and you have a number of yarns to tell about your diving exploits.
But you're feeling that you're ready for something more.
Maybe you can picture yourself in the role of one of the PADI Professionals who introduced you to SCUBA Diving and who helped you along with your own diving career ?
Do you feel ready to put something back into the sport of SCUBA Diving for other people ?
Then you are ready to become a PADI Professional.
As these are vocational courses, leading to a professional qualification, you can get help with financing your training, with interest-free Career Development Loans backed by the DfES (Department for Education and Skills). You may borrow up to £8000 to fund your courses and to purchase diving equipment and materials.
You then enjoy a two-to-three year interest-free repayment holiday while you complete your training. Read more about Career Development Loans here.
Your first step would be to become a.... PADI Divemaster Trainee
