Invicta Divers SCUBA Diving School Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q. I'm going on holiday soon - how quickly can I learn to SCUBA dive ?
A. OK there are three solutions open to you:-
i) do a PADI Open Water Referral course with Invicta Divers, and take with you on holiday a referral certificate of achievement so that you can enrol for and complete the outdoor aspects of the course and qualify as part of your holiday experience.
This way you lose none of your precious holiday time cramming diving theory in your hotel room or classroom, and you will be under less time pressure - very important for your understanding and safety.
You will be able to begin your course as soon as you register. You'll need to allow for two pool sessions, and a minimum of 20 hours self-study.
The good thing is that every part of the course which you complete is recorded in your certificate, and you will not have to repeat it in your holiday time.
ii) do a full PADI Open Water Diver course with Invicta Divers and qualify here in the UK before you go.
This way, you'll be able to dive as soon as you arrive at your destination and lose none of your holiday time.
You will be able to begin your course as soon as you register. You'll need to allow for an extra two days (compared with the Open Water Referral course) as the four qualifying open water dives must be conducted over a minimum of two days.
iii) Wait until you arrive on holiday and enrol for a PADI Open Water Diver Course there.
This way you will use four or more days of your holiday on the course, and be required to learn the diving theory and pass the exam within the same time. You will be able to dive in the remainder of your holiday.
