Invicta Divers SCUBA Diving School Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. Hello, I'm 10 and I'm a Junior Open Water Diver.   I want to do some more SCUBA Diving courses, but I'm not old enough to do the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver.   What can I do ?

A. You can qualiify as a PADI Adventure Diver, by making three or more Adventure Dives with an Instructor.   You can choose from a list that is available at your age, including Peak Performance Buoyancy, Naturalist, Boat, Drift, Photography and Project AWARE Adventure Dives.

The great thing is that your Adventure Dives stay recorded in your logbook and, as soon as you are 12, you will be able to add the two core dives (Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and Deep Adventure Dive) that will let you qualify as a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver.   Then you'll be able to dive down to 21 metres with a qualified adult diver or PADI Professional.

And what is more, already at 10, you can start to develop your expertise with PADI Specialty Diver ratings, including Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat, Naturalist, Photography and Equipment Specialtes.   And dont forget that your Adventure dives can also count towards your Specialty ratings, too.

So there's heaps for you to do, and everything you do now builds up your experience and qualifications for when you are older, too !
