Gozo is a diver's paradise, and the love of this author. Little sister to Malta, it has comforting details: they drive on the left, the post boxes are red, and there are blue lights outside the police stations. English is very widely understood. And yet Gozo has an unspoilt charm, laid-back atmosphere, oodles of history and Mediterranean climate.
The food and drink are great, the people are so friendly.

And the diving ...... is just superb.

We'll begin our holiday with our morning flight from Gatwick to Malta. Then the adventure starts ! We'll pick up our hire cars at the airport and transfer to Gozo by ferry (there's an option to take a helicopter ride over the islands of Malta and Gozo).

These will be people-carriers or 4x4 jeeps (ideal for exploring the wilder terrain, yet suitable for the streets too), depending on season. We'll drive to our accommodation and relax through the afternoon while we get settled in.

Our diving starts the very next day, after registration at the local dive centre.
We will start off our diving with a gentle dive in a sandy bay. There will be plenty of time to get our weighting and equipment configuration right.

There are so many dives, that we may not be able to to try them all in just one week, but amongst the famous names are:-
The Blue Hole, The Chimney, The Inland Sea, The Azure Window,
The Coral Cave, Crocodile Rock, Fungus Rock, Marsalforn Bay,

Xwieni Bay, Reqqa Point, Ghasri Valley, Cathedral Cave,
The Twin Arches, Billingshurst Cave (the Railway Tunnel), Xlendi Tunnel,
Mgarr-Ix-Xini (see if you can find the sea horses. You will find the Octopi on night dives),

Tugboat Rozi (bigger and better than the Stanegarth, and smothered in fish!!),The Xlendi Ferry (roll-on roll-off car ferry), The MV Karwela, The MV Cominoland,

Ta'Cenc (count the number of steps),
Comino Caves and The Blue Lagoon (depending on weather and boat availabilty)

Our dive package offers us 5 days' unlimited dives and unlimited fills (we expect around 15 dives), with weights and weightbelts included. We can make our own itinerary to dive on Gozo and Malta as we choose, for day and night dives, and boat dives are also available.
Day 7 is our no-diving-before-flying day and a time for touring, shopping and chilling out.
In the morning of Day 8 we'll transfer back for our flight home. A lot of sleep, and a lot of dreams.

The range of dives on Gozo and Malta offers divers with AOW certification and above the opportunity for independent diving and to responsibly exercise your deep diving qualifications to the full, in clear water with visibility up to 50 metres.

Local law insists that divers with qualifications lower than AOW may only dive when accompanied by an Instructor, and ours are certified to guide you. It is an excellent opportunity for Open Water and Junior Open Water divers to complete your AOW with us, and make Adventure Dives and Specialty Dives. In particular, Deep, Wreck and Cavern Adventure Dives and Specialties are spectacular here.

And it is also an ideal location for Open Water Referral students to conduct their qualifying Open Water dives with us and qualify in waters just a wee tad clearer and warmer than you might find in the UK !!

First of all, show this page to your Parents and discuss it with them.
If you have any questions (and you must have loads) pop them into an email, or ask your Parents to get in touch.
You'll need to fill out booking forms with your Parents, pay a deposit .... and then you're going !

When do you need to know / how late can I book ?
Well, you could even leave it to the last moment, but the limiting factor is the availability of seats on the plane - as soon as they have gone, there is no more chance to book.
(There may also be a flight supplement for late bookings).
So, as soon as you have decided that you can go, get in touch as quickly as you can !
We'll ask you to fill out booking forms, pay a deposit ..... then you're going !!
