Drift Adventure Dive Invicta Divers Price: £55
Usually on a dive, you have to fin past the scenery. On a drift dive, you learn to keep still and let the scenery move past you. You'll learn how to deploy and tow a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB). You must have mastered Peak Performance Buoyancy, and conducted a Boat Dive.
Note: there will be an additional charge payable to the skipper of the boat for the boat dive
Pre-requisite qualifications
You'll need to be an
Open Water Diver
, or Junior Open Water Diver, or above.
The minimum age is 10.
The PADI Adventure Diver Programme
The Adventure Diver programme lets you to choose from a list of themed dives to progress your diving and expand your knowledge.
Before you conduct each Adventure Dive with your Instructor, you'll complete some self-study at home, with the same kind of quizzes and knowledge reviews which you came to know and love on your
Open Water Course
.
When you have completed any 3 Adventure Dives and knowledge reviews, you become eligible to apply for certification as a PADI Adventure Diver.
Certification costs just £20 and you will receive a PADI Photo-ID card with your Adventure Diver rating.
Your Adventure Dives build up towards your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, and each Adventure Dive can be counted towards the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Rating.
Note that the availability of specific Adventure Dives will depend upon the location and conditions. Your Instructor will guide you on what is available.
