PADI Adventure Diver Programme
The Adventure Diver programme lets you to choose from a list of themed dives to sample a "taster" in a specific aspect of SCUBA Diving, progress your diving and expand your knowledge.
Before you conduct each Adventure Dive with your Instructor, you'll complete some self-study at home, with the same kind of quizzes and knowledge reviews which you came to know and love on your
Open Water Diver Course
.
When you have completed any 3 Adventure Dives and knowledge reviews, you become eligible to apply for certification as a PADI Adventure Diver.
Certification costs just £20 and you will receive a PADI Photo-ID card with your Adventure Diver rating.
Your Adventure Dives build up towards your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, and each Adventure Dive can also be counted towards the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Rating. A Specialty rating is a qualification in a specific aspect of SCUBA Diving (whereas an Adventure Dive is a "taster"). You will receive a separate PADI Certification Card for each Specialty qualification.
The minimum age for each Adventure Dive is 10, unless otherwise specified. The minimum qualification for making an Adventure Dive is a Junior Open Water Diver or Open Water Diver.
Note that the availability of specific Adventure Dives will depend upon the location and conditions. Your Instructor will guide you on what is available.
